there’s a strange sense of power in her words. and its the reason that he’s so temperent about putting up with her and her actions, it’s dangerous for him to think so of course. because she’s far too close for him to deny that she’s standing her now, the desert can do quite a few things… but create life is not one of them. and suddenly it’s strange. because there’s so much that he should not do in this case, there’s so much that he should and could be doing but… his breath seems to be caught in his throat     the king is quiet.     though the silence that follows him is quite often used as a power trip from the king himself, in this case however, it feels hollow, empty, and restless. it’s the touch that pulls him from his own thoughts, the light fingers that brushed fabric laced over his skin. he’s had not been ready for it… he still was not ready for it.  the feeling leaves him startled. as the realization sets in… she’s real.

his words still bare weight however, and her response feels as though and ocean has swept it from it’s place. “ you could never have been killed. you were my queen, — ” it would be treason. but the words don’t leave the man’s mouth, he knows his people far too well. everything is allowed as long as no one gets caught. “ is it… really you ? ”

“I was your queen, an outspoken, young, very un-liked by your officials queen. I was un-liked by everyone but the public but I’m still alive, I won.” She couldn’t look at him for more than a minute without having a rush of memories of her years  by his side. The scarring under his eye was too familiar without a doubt Keepsie could trace whatever scars were on his body with her eyes closed, she could recite each one of their stories but would honestly rather hear him say it when they were in bed, she couldn’t forget every moment with him, it had kept her sane through the years.

She let out an airy laugh at his question, to her she hadn’t realized how to him she could be completely fabricated but just knowing that he wanted her to be real made her smile slightly. “Yeah it is me…Do I need to ask if it’s you?”
